For many people, this is not only a season of recognized joy and fun, but one of remembrances. Depending on the events in your life, it can lead to successes or depression. For those of you who are struggling with the latter, we would tell you that sometimes the only way out of the malaise is to forcibly change your routine in some way. Even small adjustments often lead to major emotional improvements.
Why not take a walk, or a ride to someplace that changes your surroundings? What about inviting a friend to your home, or even inviting yourself to their house? You can go to a ballgame--pro or children’s. How about cooking yourself a nice meal if you have gotten into the habit of eating prepared food or having whatever is fastest to eat? Volunteering your time is always a way to make yourself see that you are needed. You can do that at a hospital, nursing home, animal refuge, or perhaps at some function at a school. Why not think about taking a class yourself? There are an abundance of ways you can adjust your thinking. While we are not advocating that you look at other people who are going through something as a means of making yourself feel better, sometimes recognizing that you are not the only one going through the emotional extremes does offer a semblance of normalcy.
Your loved ones in spirit--often the cause for sad moods--are also the same ones who are praying and praising you. They are not sitting in the golden side of the divide feeling happy that you miss them. What they are doing is trying to find ways to manipulate your mind and path so that happiness sprinkles back into your life. One of the most important things you can do to lift yourself up is to realize that there are no loved ones who want you to be unhappy. None are wishing that you stay in a pit of despair, nor that you cannot find a new venue or people to enlighten you. They want you to feel loved!
Blessings are always being sent to you. Any achievement that you make is praised, but this is even more true when it is noticed that you are taking a moment or two to bask in your own accomplishments. It is never improper to acknowledge what you are capable of. Whether you are a top-rate author, friend, hair stylist, student; or you simply are good at imparting your life experiences if you are a member of the elder sect, you should be proud of the difference you make. Our love, from the heavenly energies, are always cascading to you. Quiet your mind long enough to be able to sense the vestige of pure, uplifting emotions that come with it. These are the loving thoughts from The Spoken Words of Spirit.

I love this message, It is so enlightening for me, because I miss so many of them that have passed over. It makes so much sense that they don't want us unhappy over them.
