The Spoken Words of Spirit--March 20, 2012

What do you do when other people have their emotions go out of control? Do you overreact with them, or try to quell their anxiety? There are a multitude of ways in which you can handle these situations, but you must also remember that there will always be certain individuals who are not happy unless they are miserable…so to speak. In other words, you cannot fix those who do not want to be healed or fixed.

This is often one of the harshest lessons for people on both sides of the equation to deal with. For the kind souls--they always want to lift everyone up. While this is something that is admired and should be done, there is also a fine line between helping someone and enabling them. In the process of trying to assist them, you must realize that sometimes they are so anchored in an attitude of “pity me” that they will scratch and claw against anyone who wants to improve their situation. Often, they do that to themselves too. Fortunately, the percentage of these people as compared to those who will be genuinely appreciative of your help is infinitesimal in size. That gives you plenty of other people who will show their gratitude to you for any effort you make to try to get them on sturdier emotional, physical, spiritual or monetary grounds.

Some of the toughest things to do on your physical journey may require you to step away from someone who you can see has an abundance of good built into their general essence. Yet for some reason they will continue to attack life in unfair and uncalled for ways. They do things in conscious and subconscious ways to avoid getting better. Your job in all of this is not to lose your perspective of enjoying your life, while still being able to focus on helping those who would earnestly appreciate your support. To live in spiritual ways does not mean you have to rescue every soul on earth. That job needs to be left up to God. Your responsibility is to continue to live via the Golden Rule and not to let worrying about everyone else drag you down into the same type of depression and mode of desperation that they like to operate in. Live happily! Live triumphantly! Live with honor and integrity and nothing anyone says or does will ever be able to deter you from your mission of kindness. The love available for you will surface more and more. The Kingdom of Angels will supply you with the gracious qualities you need to enjoy all things in your life. These are The Spoken Words of Spirit.
