The Spoken Words of Spirit--May 2, 2011

This is perhaps the longest message I’ve channeled since I started this blog a couple of years ago. I do not know who this was, but judging from his surroundings, it looks to have taken place during the Great Depression. The male spirit who told this story seems to have been a very successful entrepreneur, who ended up helping thousands of people himself.
----------
My allowance was a pittance compared to my friends. I was just a new teenager and had to leave school to get a job in a factory. My father took ill and died.  We didn’t have the money to pay the doctors to make him better. Mom was having trouble keeping it together. I was the oldest of four, and now the only male in the house. Every cent I earned went to help pay the bills, except for enough to buy a candy bar twice a week. I got them from the penny store.

I was asked to do some illegal things that would have allowed me to make five times the money in half the time. While I was tired from working over eighty hours a week, all I could hear was my father’s encouraging voice. “Stay with what you are doing and the good Lord will provide for you.” That angered me so much, especially when I already felt that if he didn’t work so much that he probably wouldn’t have gotten sick. What did the “good Lord” do to help him?

For some reason, his words haunted me. Every time I started to allow my thoughts to stray towards doing things the easy and deceitful way, I felt compelled to live up to my father’s expectations. At the age of fifteen, I was fired from one of my two jobs. I had not told either of my employers that I had another job, but one place found out. My mother was getting more stressed, and my sisters were taking sick quite often from the squalid conditions of the flat we lived in. There was hardly any money coming in to even cover food. Our neighbors had very little, but did the best they could to help. When I finally got sick with pneumonia myself, I missed two days of work because I was too weak to walk the small journey to my job. When I came in the next day, still gravely ill, my heartless boss fired me because I did not call him. We had no phone to use, so it was not possible.

I crumpled in the street on my way back home. The weight of devastating my fragile mother was too much for me. My fever had me shaking, but my depression had me weeping like a newborn wanting to eat. I could feel my body tremble, then convulse. That was the last thing I recalled until I woke up in a beautiful bedroom. Had I died? I never experienced or saw anything like it. A fairly young woman heard me stir and seemed relieved to see me awake. After explaining to me that her husband saw me pass out, he then scooped me up to bring me to their home. I panicked. How long was I there? My mom and sisters; were they okay? The woman had as soft and gentle a voice and presence as I had ever heard or felt. She reassured me that they were all good. Seems that her husband located them and moved them into a new place. They were well fed and living in a clean apartment three times the size of what we had.

My curiosity got to me and I wanted to know why they were helping us. Apparently, I had been unconscious for days. She told me that her husband’s background was not that much different than mine. “We are God-abiding people.” I wanted to know how her spouse found me because the route I took back and forth had very little traffic. She explained to me that her husband was a doctor and that she, herself, was a nurse.

“Joe went to check on one of his sick patients, but the funny thing is that he felt like going a different way. That’s when he found you. Young man, you are very lucky. If he hadn’t come across you, surely you would have died. Since both of us come from poverty-stricken families, it has always been a goal to help those genuinely in need. My husband is very wealthy now and we have been aching to help a family in need. After finding out from your mother what all of you have been through, he decided you are the family we’ve been looking for.”

I asked her why they would do that. Why had he changed his path? Why did he bring me to his house instead of to the clinic? She had a brief response. “Son, you must have had an angel watching over you.”

I suppose my story is meant to tell you one thing. If you give up on God, bad things can happen without any improvement. However, when you stay devoted to your goals, whether they are modest or grand, you will be sent the people and tools to make them attainable. Never forget that you count! Never give up, even when your prospects seem bleak. You are loved! These are The Spoken Words of Spirit.

I always love to hear these stories from the past. It goes to show you that although we live in a different time our issues still remain the same. Let go, let God, life's good...thankfully somethings will never change no matter how much time passes.

Thanks Jim and Spirit for passing on a beautiful story about faith not only in God but within yourself as well.

I have read that it is sometimes predetermined that people will enter into our lives at certain junctions to provide the direction that is sometimes needed.

Thanks for a beautiful message.

Thanks. This might have been the most relaxing message I have channeled in ages. Whoever it was had a smooth voice/vibration. Lots of things to think about, such as us not really knowing how we will be helped, it even my whom. Spirit has it all under control.
