The Spoken Words of Spirit--April 16, 2012
This message came through in a very different way.
The question asked is, “If you had nothing but spare time, what would you do with it?” Personally, my first inclination would be to relax as much as possible and sleep more since neither has been plentiful for many, many years. Of course, that would leave me feeling under whelmed with myself and the direction I was going in. The word, “underachieving” would become too prominent. Instead, I would much rather spend my time doing some of the things that are always being shared in my writings here and elsewhere.
I would most likely be a bit selfish and take a true vacation, where everything “work” related is shut off or tuned out. However, once that was done, my mission would be to create a list of people who need help and begin to either reach out to them myself or find others who could be of assistance. Life would become one where everyone would benefit from the extra time afforded me. You can never give too much of your time to someone who is ailing or truly struggling. Why not help them run their errands, clean the house, nurture or nurse them if that is what is needed? Orchestrating fundraisers for the indigent or for anyone stricken unexpectedly by disease or the loss of their home in a fire, flood, or similar is always a noble thing to do. Giving time to the environment to keep it clean, or spending time with animals who are homeless is just as important as spending time with humans who are without shelter. Some may disagree with that, but the reality is all living creatures need to be cared for. If I or someone else has unlimited spare time, then it is our job to fill those roles.
From a spiritual perspective, charity is always high on the list of good deeds and things to do. It can come in the form of personal time or material gifts to others. The universe is not picky when it comes to enhancing lives. It is guaranteed that if you or I give more of ourselves that we will end up feeling like the one who is being helped. The Creation has a way of pouring love into those who freely give their love to others. It always comes back to you when you give anything that is purely intended to be good, especially if it comes from your heartfelt emotions and desires.
Like most of you, I want to make a difference in a sound, positive and loving way. While the “voices” I hear may come from a place that the majority in society are not tuned into, all other people can still make a resounding difference when they utilize their free time to work with children, the elderly, organizations that are spiritually aligned and so forth. Why not lift your own vibration by lifting the emotions and attitudes of those who could use a helping hand? Remember that the hand of the Creator is guiding you, regardless of your chosen method of belief. These are The Spoken Words of Spirit.
