The Spoken Words of Spirit--April 30, 2012
This message came through in the “first person”. It certainly was thought provoking. It began right after this question: What does God mean to you?
For me, God is life. He is the perfection of all things great, both seen and unseen. God gives me hope and inspiration, no matter how dire some circumstances appear to be. When I put my FULL faith in His existence, my own life feels less burdensome and much lighter. I believe that is because he is infusing His Light into my soul; into my heart and mind. With my faith in God, the invincibility I feel to successfully overcome all of my hardships is greatly eased, as I know that there is a “friend” who is always listening to my words and worries.
I can see Him in the sunshine and the raindrops that replenish our needs on earth. I see Him in the beauty of the mountains and the hustle and bustle that is felt in urban environments. The blend of colors in flowers in fields or in planters at a front door, plus puppies and kittens, birds and wild animals all have God’s imprint on them. The sounds of babies giggling and crickets echoing through the night leave no doubt why they make so many of us happy. The pleasure and pure joy that is felt in my heart from those simple things make me grateful to the Creator’s presence.
God is the brightness that makes me feel that every time I think I have taken the last step to resolve a problem, that somehow giving up seems to be cast aside. He enables me to try again, despite my own insecurities, frustrations and physical, mental and emotional pains. When I see Him in my mind’s eye, a radiant light glistens with warmth and love. It is as though I am being told, “I will walk with you as you improve and overcome your challenges.” It is during those moments that my feelings of reassurance are elevated and the sense that an angel is hugging me comes through clearly.
While there are many tests in my life that would make it easy to dispense of believing in a Higher Power, the reality is that when I take my ego out of my thoughts and look at the vast expanse of the universe, I become a believer again. There is nothing on this planet, nor any others that is without meaning. God made the Creation to give all of us something to strive for; to always have something meaningful to explore and discover. Otherwise, you and I would not have a reason to be here. In my journey, it became apparent that God intended to use me to share His words and love. There was no doubt that the mission given is one in which He wants to be made powerful, loving and omnipotent. More importantly, God wants to be recognized as available to all men and women because he is here with us in every beautiful breath we take. These are The Spoken Words of Spirit.
In only a few days, May 4th, Jim will be doing a fundraiser for the Nutritional Intervention for Veterans at the Huntington Hilton.
