The Spoken Words of Spirit--April 23, 2012

This message was given to me by a fairly young male in spirit.
-------------
What do you do to renew yourself? How many times do you find a voice inside your head saying, ‘I really need a break’? How many times do you actually listen to it? While there are some people who think that way out of utter frustration, there are many more who legitimately need to step back and rejuvenate themselves. From the perspective of maintaining a healthy body, mind and soul, it is vital to “recharge your batteries” by doing simple things that bring you some pleasure every now and then.

Even if finances are a challenge for you, taking steps to do something out of the ordinary is possible. Instead of concerning yourself about extravagant vacations, you can cook yourself a meal that you would never dream of. You could take a walk in a park or spend some time visiting friends you haven’t seen in awhile. Why not take up a new hobby and see if you have some hidden talent that you wondered about but never attempted? People can do more than they give themselves credit for. Frequently, it is because they have been convinced by their own thoughts or someone else’s that they cannot do so, or that it would cost too much, take too much time, not be worth it, and so forth. Stop living your life afraid to expand your base of opportunity and ability!

When you find yourself with a break in time off, or vacation, consider changing your scenery. Look into tackling healthy habits. Start the exercise program you have been telling yourself you would. If the money is available, set off to a new place or somewhere that brings happiness or serenity to you. Volunteer your time and shift the focus onto doing things that will bring brightness to someone who might need to be made to feel better. That is always a good way to illuminate your own happiness. Sometimes it is the simple things we miss out on because our physical lives can be so demanding that need to be revisited. Even the smell of puppy breath can make the average person smile.

For myself, life was always about getting ahead. Sometimes it was about staying caught up in the unrealistic goals I set for myself. I spent no time replenishing my energy. Subsequently, my patience began to wane and I felt nervous and tense all the time. Instead of relaxing to fix the problem, I chose to work more and get involved in other areas that only led to my physical failure. I find joy in working as a teacher now. No, it was not what I envisioned for myself when I was walking on the ground side of life. My advice to you is that life can pass by you faster than you realize when you spend no time enjoying it. Breathe in the beauty of any and all opportunities. Showing love for yourself is exhilarating once you get use to doing so. At least that is how I will live my next incarnation. These are The Spoken Words of Spirit.

What a beautiful, amazing message; from someone who depleted all of his physical strength by not taking care of himself and found out what that does.

"My advice to you is that life can pass by you faster than you realize when you spend no time enjoying it. Breathe in the beauty of any and all opportunities. Showing love for yourself is exhilarating once you get use to doing so."

Thank you, Jim, for bringing this to us from someone who really knows the deal! xo
