The Spoken Words of Spirit--July 9, 2012

Have you noticed that when the weather heats up, many times attitudes of people get grumpy and short? From a spiritual perspective, it is quite humorous to those on the Golden Side to watch everyone become ice cold in patience and temperament when the thermometer gets hot. Did any of you notice that as the degrees go up, the tolerance level of people goes down? Are you one of them?

There are exceptions. Some humans actually love to toil in the heat. They look at it as a time to enjoy water activities and gatherings with friends and family. They will explore the outside world more. The beauty of the planet is such that soaring heat indexes can force people closer together by staying in a home or shelter that is cooler, or by absorbing the beauty of the universe. While very high rising temperatures may be dangerous for some, the majority are able to find ways to cope with it, even if it means cooling yourself off by dropping your actions to an age that made ice cream and the like sin-free. Perspective is everything.

The heat is really nothing more than a test of your patience. The higher it goes, the more it might require you to summon as much calmness and discretion as possible. You may be called on to help maintain the sanity of others so that their inner “rage” does not surface. The reality is that it is easy to lose your cool at any time, but for some reason the level of serenity needed seems to elevate when things outside go from warm to hot, to searing.

Spiritually, you should be designing your life around the ebb and flow that comes naturally. Your personal life will be like the climate; ups and downs are going to be part of your existence. Keeping an even balance through all of it is important, because when you allow the swings in momentum to direct you, then you are allowing outside forces to be your dictator. No one ever wants that for themselves if they are truthful. While there might be times when you wish that someone else would take care of everything, you would never grow or come to learn how good it can feel to provide for yourself and family.

Why not look at the rising thermometer as a symbolic chart or how much potential you have? Think about how much fun it will be to envision your results, dreams and goals continuously ballooning up and up! You have the potential to do anything you want. Let excuses not be something that hampers you. Be someone who knows they are successful. Certainly, that is how you are seen in the eyes of God. These are The Spoken Words of Spirit.
