The Spoken Words of Spirit--June 4, 2011

When is an apology needed? Is it when you have been hurt, or when you have done the hurting? Is it because you made an unintentional blunder, or flagrantly tried to disrupt something that you had no right to disrupt in the first place? Let us focus on something a little different from the norm.

From our place in spirit, we feel that most people need to extend an apology to themselves on a daily basis. Virtually no one is immune from derogatory, mental comments about who they are or what they may have done incorrectly. There is a stream of incessant chatter that goes on in most minds. Monitoring it is very important. It enables you to “see” the thoughts that put you down so often. From that awareness, great things can occur. This is where you begin to heal; by openly taking a second or two to offer yourself an apology for the use of derogatory comments about the way you think about who you are or what you have done wrong.

It is always a better outcome when you learn to validate what is right in your life, as well as what you do right. It does not make you egotistical, but rather more confident in yourself. This enables you to empower others and to share the gift of strength received from this behavior by virtue of your actions. Living in harmony with who you are is always a positive thing, provided that you are living your life in exemplary ways.

Obviously, the crux of this message is to allow each of you to know that if you put blame on yourself for each bit of minutiae that goes wrong, then you are not ever going to grow with substantial love and peace at the core of your self and soul. Instead, you attract what you dislike and subsequently embed deeper problems and concerns. Unshackle your potential by being TRULY forgiving of your mistakes. General “lip service” is not the same as dousing your essence with exoneration. Sincerity will always bring about the right rewards when done without hurting anyone, including your Inner Child. Light your path and allow the enrichment of the universe to settle upon you. These thoughts come from The Spoken Words of Spirit.

Listen to Jim on Empowered Living Radio on June 10th, at 12:00pm. He will have a conversation with Steve Maraboli, host of the top-rated internet radio show in the country. Jim will give his perspective on spiritual matters, but what is seen by many people as a contrarian viewpoint about the 2012 fears. You can hear it by going to Steve’s website at www.empoweredlivingradio.com.

Aside from having Steve Maraboli's books and a couple of other things on the right side of the blog, the brand new book, The Hole, was written by my friend, Ray Owen. It is worth the read.

"It is always a better outcome when you learn to validate what is right in your life, as well as what you do right." When I started doing this, it was amazing how much better I felt about me.
