The Spoken Words of Spirit--December 31, 2008

Here we are, once again at the end of the year. You have overcome personal crises, a strong economic downturn of global proportions, and every facet in between. You have weathered storms, earthquakes, fires and floods. In the States, the majority has chosen to move the country into uncharted territory. It may very well be the largest act of combined free will, yet Spirit is still going to make life as pleasant as possible. Prayers are the best way to ease any fears or concerns from those who did not choose your new leader. God only wants deep peace and success for all.

As you embrace the opportunity for this year to be pushed aside to make room for the new one, Spirit can only tell you that your individual attitudes will create the greatest change. We are imploring you to put into action a good deal of the lessons we have shared with you over the years, especially the last few months. Today is the time for you not to frown upon where your life might have gone, but to look more at the joy that came to you, no matter how great or small. It is counterproductive to dwell on all the disruptions; however, it is extremely productive to show gratitude for what you have. If there is a roof of any kind over your head, be thankful. If a new love interest has become part of your path, spend a minute or more to tell that person about the impact they have made on you. Show appreciation to any person who has altered your way of life or thinking to be more positive, more loving, and more connected to your personal spiritual path. It is each event, each “life connection” that should not be ignored.

Today is a day of reflection. Not only should you spend time looking back at the year that was, but it is also the time to originate the ideas and plans for the New Year. You do not need to wait for tomorrow to piece together your personal plan for peace! These are the spoken words of Spirit.
