The Spoken Words of Spirit--November 2, 2010

As though you do not have enough to think about, we ask you to give more attention to the needs of other people. The holiday season is upon us, and many of your neighbors and fellow citizens are lacking in different ways. Some are struggling financially, while others are dealing with the heartbreak of going through these next couple of months without the physical presence of a loved one or more. You can make a difference, even if you are struggling in some form yourself!

Give from your heart! Be a doer and not an “I should do” philosopher. Put in motion anything that makes a difference. After all, you are a difference-maker! You awaken each day with the gift of life that comes from a Source that goes unnoticed by many people. While that may be the case for them, when you realize that there are possibilities yet to be discovered by you, then there should be a feeling of joyfulness that washes over you. Anticipate what you CAN do and not what you are afraid to venture into. Show others how to live in a way that makes all of mankind proud of you. Show others how to live by being an ambassador of goodwill, love and comfort. The manner in which you do this is completely up to you. If you are financially blessed, then share it if you choose to with anyone or any group that symbolizes the growth of spirituality.

If you would rather give something that is more personal--such as your time and attention--this also has an impact that travels much further than the initial random act of kindness. A gentle hug, conversation and a smile while giving a person in need a helping hand, will ultimately have them speaking of it to others. This will encourage them to have the same desire to help more people. The key to this is that it does not make one bit of difference what your stature is in the physical world. Whether you are challenged in any way in body, mind or soul, you still have the ability to make someone else smile. It takes only a mere look of compassion or acknowledgement. Obviously, if you can do more that would be wonderful. While you still have a bit of time, make a short list of the various ways you can alter a fellow human’s life for the better. We then expect you to put your list in motion. These are The Spoken Words of Spirit.

"You awaken each day with the gift of life that comes from a Source that goes unnoticed by many people." I will certainly do my best to make a difference to others in need during this holiday season and every other day as well. Making my list...

I had to chuckle today when I read this message today, Jim. Spirit always knows how and when to reinforce certain points with me. I had a conversation last night about how we can help change the world by simply changing ourselves, and then extend
ourselves to those around us to help them change too. Although they may be small changes, they make the world a better place. My outlook and my life has changed dramatically since I've read your book and followed your blog. Thank you Jim for making a difference in my life, in so many ways. I will continue on this path of spreading positivism.
