The Spoken Words of Spirit--August 5, 2009

Let us tell you not to obsess over the things we cannot change, but let us embrace those in which we can. It does no good to replay all the items in your mind that are of the “if only I had done this or that” variety. Sometimes, the way life plays out has more to do with the power of attraction then it does anything personally said or done. The universe is a strong place and can bring what is focused on. Focus on your courage, strengths and positive desires. Allow yourself to be rewarded. Accept the love that Spirit plants on your path.

Through the power of perseverance, you can accomplish anything. Through the capability given to you upon your birth, the Higher Power within yourself is the most formidable tool you will ever have. Allowing your mind to continually think about all the mistakes you have made will only slow you down. Mistakes are a part of the building blocks towards your soul’s lessons. They should be learned from so that you do not keep repeating them. However, if you deprive yourself of the right to shake free of them, then all you do is anchor yourself into a place of mediocrity or worse.

Consider your goals today. For those issues that entrap you, consider using a method of abstinence. It is a good time to allow the will of your Higher Self to make an appearance. By abstaining from behaviorisms that limit you; such as overeating, drinking too much, gambling or over thinking, then you will be retraining your brain to do something out of its comfort zone. Often; creating a makeover of your mindset requires a detoxification or purging of your old, etched ideas. We know you can do this. If you struggle, ask for assistance from your Guardian. The angels travel with you through thick and thin, through times of stress and times that are blessed. Genuine efforts to secure a better way of living are never turned down. These are The Spoken Words of Spirit.

Once we realize that mistakes are "building blocks" it certainly makes it easier to move forward without old bad habits holding us back, doesn't it?

Hi Jim,
When I read this I had a feeling of peace come over me. Thank you.
This blog makes a great start to my day, and sometimes I re-read it during my day to re-start my day.I know that guilt and shame is toxic and I'm learning to, "let it go". I need my mind to be a blank slate, unlimited by over thinking and erroneous ideas. Thank you again.

I think we are all here to help each other, regardless of where we might think we are. Each one of us can ignite great changes, but doing so requires a feeling of security. That means that taking things one "building block" at a time will lead to changes of great magnitude.
